The Polish team having their warm up before the start of the match. It was still about an hour before match time, that's why the stands are still empty.

The match between Finland and Poland for the European Qualifications just ended in a draw, 0-0. This was taken an hour before the match started. The Polish supporters are seen gathered here.

Train tracks

Pasila train station is a stopover for all trains travelling to and from Helsinki. There are 9 tracks at this stop.

Botttle and Can Return

Bottle and Can returning in Myyrmanni shopping centre ín Myyrmäki, Vantaa. The cost for returning them are as follows:
Pullot refers to bottles and the prices are indicated according to the size of the bottle.

Tölkit refers to cans.

Korit refers to cartons and they different prices for empty(tyhjä) and full(täysi) cartons.

Autumn is here...

Here are the first signs of autumn in Vantaa. The weather is getting colder and the trees are changing colour. The grass is still green though.

In a line

People lining up in a queue on the right so that those who want to walk ahead can do so on the left.

Sad to say, this is something that is rarely seen in Singapore. We have signs telling people to keep to the left but they just occupy both sides and those wishing to pass in a hurry are never able to do so.

A moose spotted at Kaisaniemi park near the central railway station in Helsinki.

Here you can see the curve where the long truck had difficulty making the turn.

This red van was accompanying a truck that was wide and long. The truck had some difficulty making the turn. So the driver from the red van had to get out and guide the truck in the turning. Find out how long the truck is in tomorrow's blog.

Notice the sign on the red van: 'Leveä Kuljetus' meaning Wide Transportation.
